    Matthew 5:4 We hate pain and despise loss. Yet, we can not escape the experience of it. Why? Because we live in a fallen world in fallen bodies. The promises of God and His presence gives us comfort and hope today. In the sermon on the mount, Jesus proclaimed those who mourn are fully satisfied because they will be comforted. Is He only referring to the horizontal grief we experience here on earth? Or, is He referring also to a vertical grief, that when we experience that, we find an unending satisfaction and comfort.
